<h1>Bourgogne CHANSON Père & Fils</h1> <h2>Depuis 1750 à Beaune</h2> <h3>Montagny 1er Cru 2007</h3><h4>The Vine</h4><b>Variety :</b>Chardonnay<br><b>Soil :</b>Mix of clay and limestone<br><b>Site :</b>In the Côte Chalonnaise, South of Côte de Beaune, this Premier Cru &quot;terroir&quot; of Montagny displays the fruit and mineral qualities of Chardonnay.<br><br><br><h4>The Wine</h4><b>Vintage 2007 :</b>After a very warm spring, the weather at the start of summer was quite demanding. It became fine again from the end of August with much sun and a north wind, which aided concentration of flavours. The harvest commenced in mid-September in perfect conditions under an Indian summer. Careful selection of grapes in the vineyard and winery have produced very pure white wines, well-balanced with fantastic acidity.<br><b>Tasting :</b>Pale gold colour. Rich nuances of flowers, exotic fruit, and vanilla. Well-balanced, well-structured and generous. Very pure fruit. Well-integrated acidity with and long finish.<br><b>Food Pairing</b>Suitable for most occasions. Food parings include pâté, lobsters and poultry, as well as many goat cheeses.<br><br><br><br><h3>Montagny 1er Cru 2006</h3><h4>The Vine</h4><b>Variety :</b>Chardonnay<br><b>Soil :</b>Mix of clay and limestone<br><b>Site :</b>In the Côte Chalonnaise, South of Côte de Beaune, this Premier Cru &quot;terroir&quot; of Montagny displays the fruit and mineral qualities of Chardonnay.<br><br><br><h4>The Wine</h4><b>Vintage 2006 :</b>The weather at the start of summer was quite demanding. However, the sun appeared at the end of August and continued throughout September. The harvest commenced in mid-September in perfect conditions. Grapes picked at optimum ripeness and in perfect health, hence a minimum sorting was required. <br><b>Tasting :</b>Pale gold colour. Very delicate floral fragrances mixed with exotic fruit and enhanced by a good minerality. Well-balanced. Very refreshing, fruity. Well-integrated minerality and long finish. <br><b>Food Pairing</b>Pâté, lobsters and poultry as well as some goat cheeses<br><br><br><br><h3>Montagny 1er Cru 2004</h3><h4>The Vine</h4><b>Variety :</b>Chardonnay<br><b>Soil :</b>Mix of clay and limestone<br><b>Site :</b>In the Côte Chalonnaise, South of Côte de Beaune, this Premier Cru &quot;terroir&quot; of Montagny enhences the fresh fruit and mineral style of the Chardonnay.<br><br><br><h4>The Wine</h4><b>Vintage 2004 :</b>Harvest took place at the end of september after a cool and humid Summer with short periods of very hot weather. The &quot;tri&quot;, sorting of the grapes was drastic to keep only the very ripe berries. <br><b>Tasting :</b>Pale gold colour with emerald tinges. Very refreshing aromas of green apple and fern enhanced by a good minerality. Well-balanced and well-structured. Very refreshing, fruity. Good minerality and long finish. <br><b>Food Pairing</b>Pâté, lobsters and poultry as well as some goat cheeses<br><br><br><br><h3>Montagny 1er Cru 2003</h3><h4>The Vine</h4><b>Variety :</b>Chardonnay<br><b>Soil :</b>Mix of clay and limestone<br><b>Site :</b>In the Côte Chalonnaise, South of Côte de Beaune, this Premier Cru &quot;terroir&quot; of Montagny enhences the fresh fruit and mineral style of the Chardonnay.<br><br><br><h4>The Wine</h4><b>Vintage 2003 :</b>An exceptionnally early harvest end of August due to an unusual hot summer. Grapes were extremely well mature with high concentration. Very low yields.<br><b>Tasting :</b>Pale gold colour Floral fragrances mixed with pale fleshed fruit (peach) and almond enhanced by a hint of minerality. This wine is concentrated and complex,developping an array of floral fragrances enhanced by spicy nuances.
