<h1>Bourgogne CHANSON Père & Fils</h1> <h2>Depuis 1750 à Beaune</h2> <h3>- Le Bourgogne - Pinot Noir 2008</h3><h4>The Vine</h4><b>Variety :</b>Pinot Noir<br><b>Soil :</b>Clay-limestone<br><b>Site :</b>Grapes are exclusively sourced from select vineyards in the Côte de Nuits, from plots of Domaine Chanson and from Terroirs located in the south of the Côte de Beaune. <br><br><br><h4>The Wine</h4><b>Vintage 2008 :</b>After a beautiful spring, the weather at the start of summer was quite demanding. It became fine again from the end of August with much sun and a cold wind, which aided concentration of flavours. The harvest commenced in mid-September in perfect conditions under an Indian summer. <br><b>Tasting :</b>Bright red colour with dark purple nuances. Intense aromas of red currant and liquorice with a hint of spice. Concentrated and complex. Refreshing and lively. Very pure fruit aromas. Spicy nuances in the finish. <br><b>Food Pairing</b>Super &quot;everyday&quot; Burgundy, ideal with braised and roasted meats, as well as meat-sauced pastas.<br><br><br><br><h3>- Le Bourgogne - Pinot Noir 2007</h3><h4>The Vine</h4><b>Variety :</b>Pinot Noir<br><b>Soil :</b>Clay-limestone<br><b>Site :</b>Grapes are exclusively sourced from select vineyards in the Côte de Nuits, from plots of Domaine Chanson and from Terroirs located in the south of the Côte de Beaune. <br><br><br><h4>The Wine</h4><b>Vintage 2007 :</b>The weather at the start of summer was quite demanding. It became fine again from the end of August with much sun and a north wind, which aided concentration of flavours. The harvest commenced in mid-September in perfect conditions under an Indian summer. Careful selection of grapes in the vineyard and winery have produced crunchy red wines with very pure aromas.<br><b>Tasting :</b>Bright red colour with dark purple nuances. Intense aromas of violet and liquorice with a hint of spice. Concentrated and well-structured. Refreshing and lively. Spicy nuances in the finish. <br><b>Food Pairing</b>Super &quot;everyday&quot; Burgundy, ideal with braised and roasted meats, as well as meat-sauced pastas.<br><br><br><br><h3>- Le Bourgogne - Pinot Noir 2006</h3><h4>The Vine</h4><b>Variety :</b>Pinot Noir<br><b>Soil :</b>Clay-limestone<br><b>Site :</b>Grapes are exclusively sourced from select vineyards in the Côte de Beaune and the Côte de Nuits, including some plots of vineyards of Domaine Chanson.<br><br><br><h4>The Wine</h4><b>Vintage 2006 :</b>The weather at the start of summer was quite demanding. However, the sun appeared at the end of August and continued throughout September. The harvest commenced in mid-September in perfect conditions. <br><b>Tasting :</b>Bright red colour with purple nuances. Intense aromas of raspberry and violets with a hint of pepper. Concentrated and well-structured. Refreshing, lively and displaying an array of spicy nuances. <br><b>Food Pairing</b>Super &quot;everyday&quot; Burgundy, ideal with braised and roasted meats, as well as meat-sauced pastas.<br><br><br><br><h3>- Le Bourgogne - Pinot Noir 2005</h3><h4>The Vine</h4><b>Variety :</b>Pinot Noir<br><b>Soil :</b>Cllay-limestone<br><b>Site :</b>Grapes are exclusively sourced from select vineyards in the Côte de Beaune and the Côte de Nuits, including some plots of vineyards of Domaine Chanson.<br><br><br><h4>The Wine</h4><b>Vintage 2005 :</b>Exceptionnal after a superb growing season - cold winter, rainy spring followed by hot and dry summer. Grapes picked at optimum ripeness and in perfect health, hence a minimum sorting was required. <br><b>Tasting :</b>Ruby red with purple tinges. Intense aromas of red berries (red berry) &quot;en confiture&quot; with a hint of spice. Lively with a well-integrated acidity. Well-balanced, harmonious, generous with well-shaped tannins.<br><b>Food Pairing</b>Super &quot;everyday&quot; Burgundy, ideal with braised and roasted meats, as well as meat-sauced pastas.<br><br><br><br><h3>- Le Bourgogne - Pinot Noir 2004</h3><h4>The Vine</h4><b>Variety :</b>Pinot Noir<br><b>Soil :</b>Cllay-limestone<br><b>Site :</b>Grapes are exclusively sourced from select vineyards in the Côte de Beaune and the Côte de Nuits, including some plots of vineyards of Domaine Chanson.<br><br><br><h4>The Wine</h4><b>Vintage 2004 :</b>Harvest took place at the end of september after a cool and humid Summer with short periods of very hot weather. The &quot;tri&quot;, sorting of the grapes was drastic to keep only the very ripe and sound berries. <br><b>Tasting :</b>Ruby red with purple tinges. Intense aromas of red berries enhanced by spicy nuances. It is lively with fine acidity.
