Site :In the heart of the Mâcon winegrowing region, South of Burgundy. The two villages Viré and Clessé form a unique "terroir" on slopes facing South-East. This is one of the best white wines of the region combining suppleness and minerality.
The Wine
Vintage 2009 :After a cold winter and a beautiful spring, the hot summer was interrupted by stormy intervals which fortuitously took place when needed and thus facilitated growth and good maturation of the grapes. Harvest began early September with excellent weather conditions.
Tasting :Pale gold colour. Floral fragrances mixed with ripe citrus aromas enhanced by a beautiful minerality.
Crisp attack followed by a rich textured palate. Very pure aromas. Refreshing and mineral finish.
Food PairingA fine, dry apéritif, great with light seafood and raw vegetable hors d'oeuvres.

The Wine
Vintage 2008 :After a beautiful spring, the weather at the start of summer was quite demanding. It became fine again from the end of August with much sun and a cold wind, which aided concentration of flavours. The harvest commenced in mid-September in perfect conditions under an Indian summer.
Tasting :Pale gold colour. Floral fragrances mixed with fresh citrus aromas enhanced by a beautiful minerality.

Food PairingA fine, dry apéritif, great with light seafood and raw vegetable hors d'oeuvres.

It became fine again from the end of August with much sun and a north wind, which aided concentration of flavours. The harvest commenced in mid-September in perfect conditions under an Indian summer. Careful selection of grapes in the vineyard and winery have produced very pure white wines, well-balanced with fantastic acidity.
Tasting :Pale gold colour. Very delicate floral fragrances mixed with fern and underlined by subtle minerality.
Well-structured and well-balanced. Very pure aromas. Refreshing and straightforward finish.
Food PairingA fine, dry apéritif, great with light seafood and raw vegetable hors d'oeuvres.

The harvest commenced in mid-September in perfect conditions. Careful selection of grapes in the vineyard and winery have produced beautiful white wines with fantastic acidity.
Tasting :Pale gold colour. Very delicate floral fragrances mixed with fern underlined by subtle minerality.
Very fresh, well-structured and well-balanced. Very pure aromas. Refreshing and straightforward finish.

Vintage 2005 :Exceptionnal after a superb growing season - cold winter, rainy spring followed by hot and dry summer. Grapes picked at optimum ripeness and in perfect health, hence a minimum sorting was required.
Tasting :Pale gold colour. Floral fragrances mixed with exotic notes enhanced by a delicate minerality. Very fresh, well-structured and well-balanced. Beautiful aromatic combination. Harmonious aftertaste.
Food PairingA fine, dry apéritif, great with light seafood and clean vegetable-driven hors d'oeuvres.
