Côte de Beaune Villages 2001

Rebsorte : Pinot Noir

Boden : Limeston with clay.

Lage : Selected plots of vineyards in Côte de Beaune villages, mostly Pernand-Vergelesses, Auxey-Duresses and Ladoix.

Der Jahrgang 2001 : Harvest took place at the end of September after a late Summer. It was as a whole homogeneous but the "tri", sorting of the grapes was drastic to keep only the very ripe berries. Aging in oak cask during 16 months

Verkostung : Bright ruby colour. This wine develops intense aromas of red berries (raspberries and red-currant) mixed with spicy nuances and enhanced by a hint of vanilla. This wine has a good structure. It is concentrated, harmonious and complex with elegant tannins. It has a long aftertaste.

Servierempfehlung : To be enjoyed with warm starters, white meat, matured cheese.
