Grape Variety : Pinot Noir
Soil : Mix of clay and limestone
Site : The Premiers Crus vineyards of Domaine Chanson are aged in casks in the Bastion cellars. This cuvée is a blend of grapes sourced from selected plots among the Premiers Crus of the domaine located on the hill of Beaune.
The Vintage 2006 : The weather at the start of Summer was quite demanding. However, the sun appeared at the end of August and continued throughout September. The harvest commenced in mid-September in perfect conditions. Careful selection of grapes in the vineyard and winery have produced beautiful wines with very pure aromas. Aged in French oak for 10 months.
Tasting : Bright ruby colour. Aromas of red berries (red berries) and liquorice mixed with spicy nuances and a hint of vanilla. Well-balanced, well-structured and mellow. Delicate oak note. Fine tannins. Persistent aftertaste.
Food pairing : Red meat grilled or en sauce and all sorts of cheeses, especially our local cheeses like Époisses, Citeaux and Langres.
