Grape Variety : Pinot Noir
Soil : Clay and limestone
Site : The vineyards are located in the Hautes Côtes, West of the Côte de Beaune, on hills at an average height of 200-300 meters.
The Vintage 2000 : After a quick bud burst, followed by an early flowering period (beginning of June), some rain and cool temperatures in July slowed down the ripening of the grapes. Good weather at the end of the summer and a prolonged hot period in early September, which ensured good concentration of the juice.
Tasting : Ruby red. Aromas of red fruit (plum) with a hint of spice. Well-balanced with soft tannins.
Food pairing : Super "everyday" Burgundy, ideal with braised and roasted meats, as well as meat-sauced pastas.
