Site : Three plots of vineyards from selected "vignerons", ideally located in the heart of the village of Chassagne Montrachet - close to the Premiers Crus area. South, South-East orientation.
The Vintage 2006 : The weather at the start of summer was quite demanding. However, the sun appeared at the end of August and continued throughout September. The harvest commenced in mid-September in perfect conditions. Careful selection of grapes in the vineyard and winery have produced beautiful white wines with fantastic acidity. Aged in French oak for 10 months.
Tasting : Pale gold colour. Aromas of lime blossom, with grapefruit, honey and vanilla. Well-structured, complex and well-balanced. Well-integrated minerality and subtle oak notes. Good persistence.
Food pairing : To be enjoyed with foie gras, grilled fish, white meat and strong cheeses (Epoisses, Roquefort and Munster).
