Site : A Chanson "monopole" in the very heart of the first Growths vineyards of Beaune. The vineyards covering 3.80 ha is located on a mid slope. The "Clos des Fèves" was already known in the 14th century under the latin word "Fae"

The Vintage 1998 : Harvest took place at the end of September after a late Summer. It was as a whole homogeneous. Aging in cask during 12 months.

Tasting : Bright ruby colour. Intense aromas of dry figs and plum jam on a hint of chocolate. Subtle vanilla note. Ample, generous and well-balanced. Good aromatic combination. Silky tannins and well-integrated oak note. Good persistence.

Food pairing : Game (pheasant), poultry and all the classic cheeses (Epoisses, Langres).
