Site : "Les Marconnets" are located on the hill in the Northern hint of the Appelation Beaune 1er Cru. The name of this vineyard referred to the german tribe "Marcomans". Chanson owns 4 ha, i.e, 40% of the vineyard.

The Vintage 2001 : Harvested at the end of September after a late summer and a rainy spring - the harvest was reduced by hail. It was as a whole homogeneous but the "tri", sorting of the grapes was drastic to keep only the very ripe berries. Aging in oak casks during 18 months.

Tasting : This wine is well-balanced, generous, concentrated and presents an outstanding tannic structure and an elegant wooded. It owns a beautiful persistence.

Food pairing : To be enjoyed with white or red meat, grilled or roasted, games and all sorts of cheeses especially all the cheeses produced in Burgundy (Epoisses, Langres, Citeaux).
