Site : "Les Marconnets" are located in the Northern hint of the Appelation Beaune 1er Cru. The name of this vineyard referred to the german tribe "Marcomans". Chanson owns 4 ha, i.e, 40% of the vineyard.
The Vintage 2015 : After a cold winter and a mild spring, the weather conditions in Summer were ideal with cold nights and warm days and enabled a perfect maturation of the grapes. The harvest started early September under a bright sunshine. The red wines develop beautiful aromas of ripe red and black berries with a fleshy texture. Aging in oak casks during 16 months.
Tasting : Garnet color. Aromas of black berries (blackcurrant and backberry). Fleshy texture, ample and creamy. Beautiful tannic structure. SCORES : 90-92 - BURGHOUND - April 2017 / 16/20 - JANCIS ROBINSON - Dec. 2016
Food pairing : To be enjoyed with white or red meat, grilled or roasted, games and all sorts of cheeses especially all the cheeses produces in Burgundy (Epoisses, Langres, Citeaux, Ami du Chambertin).
