Grape Variety : Gamay
Soil : Granite and sand
Site : In the very heart of the Beaujolais, in the village of Fleurie. The grapes are issued from 2 specific plots "Champagne" and "Les Deux Rivières", ideally oriented South.
The Vintage 2009 : After a cold winter and a beautiful spring, the hot summer was interrupted by stormy intervals which fortuitously took place when needed and thus facilitated growth and good maturation of the grapes. Harvest began early September with excellent weather conditions.
Tasting : Bright purple colour. Refreshing and intense aromas of red berries (red currant) on a hint of spices. Well-balanced and deep. Tight texture. Well-shaped and refined tannins. Long and generous aftertaste with spicy nuances.
Food pairing : Cooked pork meat "Charcuterie", barbecues and all sorts of mild cheeses.
