Site : In the very heart of the Beaujolais, in the village of Fleurie. The grapes are issued from 2 specific plots "Champagne" and "Les Deux Rivières", ideally oriented South.
The Vintage 2011 : After a very cold winter and a very warm spring, the weather at the start of summer was quite demanding. It became fine again at the in the last days of August. The harvest commenced in mid-September in perfect conditions under a bright sunshine to harvest grapes fully ripe.
Tasting : Bright purple colour. Refreshing aromas of red berries (raspberry) on a hint of spices. Crisp attack. Well-balanced and well-shaped. Refined tannins. Long and generous aftertaste with spicy nuances.
Food pairing : Cooked pork meat "Charcuterie", barbecues and all sorts of mild cheeses.
