Grape Variety : Gamay
Soil : Granite and sand
Site : In the very heart of the Beaujolais, in the village of Fleurie with which Chanson has very close connections. The grapes are issued from 2 specific plots "Champagne" and "Les Deux Rivières", ideally oriented South and which are considered as some of the best plots of the village.
The Vintage 2013 : After a very cold winter and a cool spring, the weather at the start of summer was quite demanding. However, it became fine again end of July and the hot temperatures prevailed in August as well. The harvest commenced end of September under a bright sunshine. Meticulous vinifications have produced beautiful wines with a crunchy texture.
Tasting : Bright ruby colour. Intense aromas of ripe red berries mixed with spices. Crisp attack. Well-balanced and complex with a beautiful fruit combination. Long and refreshing aftertaste with spicy nuances.
Food pairing : Cooked pork meat "Charcuterie", barbecues and all sorts of mild cheeses.
