Grape Variety : Pinot Noir
Soil : Cllay-limestone
Site : Grapes are exclusively sourced from select vineyards in the Côte de Beaune and the Côte de Nuits, including some plots of vineyards of Domaine Chanson.
The Vintage 2005 : Exceptional after a superb growing season - cold winter, rainy spring followed by hot and dry summer. Grapes picked at optimum ripeness and in perfect health, hence a minimum sorting was required.
Tasting : Ruby red with purple tinges. Intense aromas of red berries (red berry) "en confiture" with a hint of spice. Lively with a well-integrated acidity. Well-balanced, harmonious, generous with well-shaped tannins.
Food pairing : Super "everyday" Burgundy, ideal with braised and roasted meats, as well as meat-sauced pastas.
