Grape Variety : Pinot Noir
Soil : Clay-limestone
Site : Grapes are exclusively sourced from select vineyards in the Côte de Nuits, from plots of Domaine Chanson and from Terroirs located in the south of the Côte de Beaune.
The Vintage 2009 : After a cold winter and a beautiful spring, the hot summer was interrupted by stormy intervals which fortuitously took place when needed and thus facilitated growth and good maturation of the grapes. Harvest began early September with excellent weather conditions. The red wines are dark coloured with aromas of ripe black berries, token of a great ageing potential.
Tasting : Bright red colour with dark purple nuances. Intense aromas of black cherry and spices. Complex and generous. Very pure fruit. Dense with well-integrated tannins. Long and refreshing aftertaste with liquorice nuances.
Food pairing : Super "everyday" Burgundy, ideal with braised and roasted meats, as well as meat-sauced pastas.
