Grape Variety : Chardonnay
Soil : Mix of limestone and clay.
Site : Four different plots of vineyards from selected "vignerons". Two are located on mid slope for finesse and minerality, the two others are situated around the village for more richness and depth.
The Vintage 2006 : The weather at the start of summer was quite demanding. However, the sun appeared at the end of August and continued throughout September. The harvest commenced in mid-September in perfect conditions. Careful selection of grapes in the vineyard and winery have produced beautiful white wines with fantastic acidity. Aged in French oak for 8 months.
Tasting : Pale gold colour. The nose is highly elegant and displays hints of fresh lime, grapefruit, and melon. The combination of fruits and racing natural acidity blend well to form a complex and intense lingering finish.
Food pairing : To be enjoyed with foie gras, grilled fish, white meat and strong cheeses (Epoisses, Roquefort and Munster).
