Grape Variety : Chardonnay
Soil : Mix of limestone and clay.
Site : Four different plots of vineyards from selected "vignerons". Two are located on mid slope for finesse and minerality, the two others are situated around the village for more richness and depth.
The Vintage 2009 : After a cold winter and a beautiful spring, the hot summer was interrupted by stormy intervals which fortuitously took place when needed and thus facilitated growth and good maturation of the grapes. Harvest began early September with excellent weather conditions. Aging in oak during 14 months.
Tasting : Gold colour with emerald tinges. Floral aromas mixed with spicy nuances. Delicate oak note. Generous and deep. Round with appealing spicy notes mixed with exotic fruit. Well-balanced acidity and delicate oak note. Generous and refreshing aftertaste.
Food pairing : To be enjoyed with foie gras, grilled fish, white meat and strong cheeses (Epoisses, Roquefort and Munster).
