Meursault Blagny
1er Cru
2006

Grape Variety : Chardonnay

Soil : Clay and limestone

Site : The area of production is located in the hamlet of Blagny, located at the top of the hill above the village of Puligny Montrachet. "Meursault Blagny" is a plot located on the upper part of the hill on the boundaries of the Puligny Montrachet Premiers Crus area.

The Vintage 2006 : The weather at the start of summer was quite demanding. However, the sun appeared at the end of August and continued throughout September. The harvest commenced in mid-September in perfect conditions. Careful selection of grapes in the vineyard and winery have produced beautiful white wines with fantastic acidity. Aged in French oak during 10 months.

Tasting : Bright gold colour. Delicate floral fragrances mixed with aromas of citrus fruit. Subdued minerality with a delicate vanilla note. Elegant, delicate, smooth. Well-defined minerality and well-integrated oak note. Long aftertaste.

Food pairing : To be enjoyed with "foie gras", seafood, fish and goat's cheese.
