Site : In the Côte Chalonnaise, South of Côte de Beaune, this Premier Cru "terroir" of Montagny enhences the fresh fruit and mineral style of the Chardonnay.
The Vintage 2003 : An exceptionally early harvest end of August due to an unusual hot summer. Grapes were extremely well mature with high concentration. Very low yields.
Tasting : Pale gold colour Floral fragrances mixed with pale fleshed fruit (peach) and almond enhanced by a hint of minerality. This wine is concentrated and complex,developing an array of floral fragrances enhanced by spicy nuances. It is well structured and mellow with a mineral character.
Food pairing : Pâté, lobsters and poultry as well as some goat cheeses
