Site : The area of production is located in the commune of Nuits Saint Georges, in the Côte de Nuits and in the village of Premeaux Prissey, South of Nuits Saint Georges.
The Vintage 2002 : The harvest took place at the end of September, several days after the official beginning of the harvest in order to obtain the best possible maturation of the berries. Excellent weather conditions prevailed in August and September and hence the good quality of the grapes. A severe pruning had been carried out in July 2002 to limit yields. Aging in oak casks during 18 months.
Tasting : Bright ruby colour. Intense aromas of red fruits (red berry, cherry) and liquorice enhanced by a nice hint of vanilla. Well balanced, concentrated, generous, good persistence, depth, good aromatic combination of red fruit with a subtle oak flavour.
Food pairing : To be enjoyed with white or red meat, grilled or roasted, games and all sorts of cheeses especially all the cheeses produces in Burgundy (Epoisses, Langres, Citeaux, Ami du Chambertin
