Site : The area of production of the Nuits Saint Georges Premiers Crus is split up into two areas : North and South of the Commune of Nuits Saint Georges. This Premier Cru "Chaînes Carteaux" is located South of Nuits Saint Georges, nearly at the border with the village of Premeaux, in the very heart of the Premiers Crus, where the structure of the soil is light and produces wines which are at the same time well-structured and generous.
The Vintage 2010 : After a very cold winter and a demanding spring, the hot summer was regularly interrupted by cold and rainy intervals which early September gave way to a bright and warm weather, that speeded up the maturation of the grapes. Harvest began in the last days of September under a bright sunshine. Aging in oak during 16 months.
Tasting : Bright ruby colour. Delicate notes of violet mixed with intense aromas of ripe plum and raspberry. Beautiful vanilla note. Dense and voluminous. Complex and generous. Elegant and delicate texture. Elegant tannins and well-integrated oak-note. Long and generous finish.
Food pairing : To be enjoyed with white or red meat, grilled or roasted, games and all sorts of cheeses especially all the cheeses produces in Burgundy (Epoisses, Langres, Citeaux, Ami du Chambertin
