Puligny-Montrachet Hameau de Blagny
1er Cru
2006

Grape Variety : Chardonnay

Soil : Clay and limestone

Site : Area of production in the village of Puligny Montrachet. "Hameau de Blagny" is a plot located north of the village on the upper part of the hill on the boundaries with the Meursault area of production.

The Vintage 2006 : The weather at the start of summer was quite demanding. However, the sun appeared at the end of August and continued throughout September. The harvest commenced in mid-September in perfect conditions. Careful selection of grapes in the vineyard and winery have produced beautiful white wines with fantastic acidity. Aged in French oak for 10 months.

Tasting : Pale gold colour. Fragrances of lime blossom mixed with citrus fruit and honey with a hint of minerality. Elegant. Well-structured and well-balanced. Good acidity. Well-integrated minerality and subtle oak notes. Good persistence.

Food pairing : To be enjoyed with "foie gras", seafood, fish and goat's cheese.
