Grape Variety : Chardonnay
Soil : Limestone and clay
Site : Located between the villages of Chassagne Montrachet and Puligny Montrachet is the village of Saint Aubin. "Les Pitengerets" is among one of the best Premiers Crus, located close to the famous Chassagne Montrachet.
The Vintage 2009 : After a cold winter and a beautiful spring, the hot summer was interrupted by stormy intervals which fortuitously took place when needed and thus facilitated growth and good maturation of the grapes. Harvest began early September with excellent weather conditions. Aging in oak during 15 months
Tasting : Bright gold colour. Intense aromas of pale fleshed fruit (apple) and ripe apricot mixed with fresh honey with a hint of vanilla. Complex and well crafted. Tight texture. Very pure fruit. Well-defined minerality. Delicate oak note. Generous with a good persistence.
Food pairing : Foie gras, seafood, fish in a creamy sauce, white meat and a variety of regional cheeses, in particular Époisses, Roquefort and Munster.
