Grape Variety : Pinot Noir
Soil : Marl, chalk and limestone.
Site : Named after the latin "Dominus", "Vineyard of the Lord" an indication that this area was formerly owned by the Lord of Savigny. This vineyard is North East oriented on mid-slope.
The Vintage 2003 : An exceptionally early harvest end of August due to an outstanding hot summer. Grapes were extremely well mature with high concentration. Very low yields. Grapes had to be cooled down before pressing.Outstanding concentration and fully matured during the harvest.
Tasting : Ruby colour with purple tinges. Aromas of red berries jam(cherry, raspberry) and chocolate enhanced by a nice spices note. Generous, complex and breed. Very expressive fruit with liquorice and spices notes, subtle wooded, well-balanced, harmonious.
Food pairing : Roasted meat or en sauce, game, cheeses.
