Grape Variety : Pinot Noir
Soil : Clay and limestone
Site : Area of production located on the commune Savigny les Beaune, a small village adjacent to Beaune.
The Vintage 2005 : Harvest took place in the early days of September after a dry and very hot summer after a superb growing season - long and cold winter followed by a rainy and humid spring. Exceptional weather conditions for an exceptional vintage. Full maturation of the grapes and good concentration. Aging in oak casks during 11 months
Tasting : Bright ruby colour. Intense aromas of red fruit (cherry) with a hint of chocolate and a delicate vanilla note. Dense and generous. Beautiful fruit combination enhanced by an elegant oak note and well-defined tannins. Long aftertaste.
Food pairing : Red and white meat roasted or "en sauce", game, cheeses.
